I am taking a brief break to update new readers.

First, my husband Mark is home, safe and sound from Iraq.

But the entries you are now reading are from the time we learned he was going on his third deployment until he returned home.

Along the way we grew as a couple and in our faith, met wonderful friends and faced challenges with laugher, love, tears and Laini putting a few people back in their place.

This is the story of our deployment and how we survived.
